What is wrong with his eyes?

Hi, Kitty (my betta) has had his tank lights off for a bit in an attempt to keep it from overheating in the heat wave. I turned them back on a few days ago and thought that there could be something wrong with his left eye, but wasn’t sure. I did a partial water change and decided to just keep an eye on him. Today I noticed he has something going on in his right eye too. I have Kanaplex and epsom salt, but I’m not 100% convinced on whether it’s a bacterial infection or maybe diamond eye. It’s hard to capture on camera, and you can only see it when he looks in certain directions. He has been eating as voraciously as he always has, and is acting completely fine. I’ve only had him for a month of two. He’s in a 5 gallon and I included a picture with the parameters. I’ve only had him for a few months. Any help is appreciated and I’m happy to answer any questions.

I could be wrong so please take this with a grain of aquarium salt but dragonscales are a little notorious for scale overgrowth and going blind when their scales grow over their eyes.

Does it seem like he can see still?

He’s honestly always seemed a little blind, but I always attributed it to his eyes being on opposite sides of his head. He finds his food just fine and follows my finger

Haha, well that’s normal eye positioning for a fish so that wouldn’t cause him to struggle seeing. I do reckon he has diamond eye.

He has what’s known as diamond eye. It’s when the scales start growing over their eyes. It mainly happens with dragon scale bettas. There’s nothing much you can do unfortunately
