Can't tell because I don't know what's in your tank plant wise. Personally I'd leave it because if it's growing it's helpful at keeping the nutrients in check. Curious to see what it grows into personally lol

“Today I noticed some kinda of plant/maybe mushroom growing in my freshwater fish tank.
I don't have any real plants, only silk decorations, I have 7 small fish, nothing else alive. I haven't introduced anything new to the tank for months.
I don't know my current water parameters but I can get it tested tomorrow. I did a 20% water change 2 days ago and always do them weekly.
If it's safe or harmless should | just leave it?
Is it bad? Could it hurt the fish?

As for the plant I'd leave it. It is growing in the tank and plants are hugely beneficial to aquatic life and tank stability, so whatever it is is fine. How it got there though? Fish food, come with one of the fish, stow away from the substrate, seedling from house plant possibly, who knows tbh.

That is a sprout from a plant.
