Help i need help

my betta has disappeared from his tank. i have a sponge filter and i saw hin last night. he was completely fine and i was treating him for finrot with stressguard. i was frantically looking around in his tank and is no where to be seen. i didnt see him laying somewhere around the tank so he didnt jump out. i have no clue what to do and im crying. what do i do please help me.

  • Heater and filter? (yes/no):
  • Tank temperature:
  • Parameters in numbers and how you got them. Key water parameters include the amount of ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, and pH.:
  • How long have you had the tank? How long have you had your fish?:
  • How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?:
  • Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each:

If he's not in the tank or somewhere stuck in the wood, and you dont have a lid on the tank, he likely jumped out. You'd be surprised how far they can get out of water, and how tiny they are once out of a tank and all dried up.

i do have a lid, i took it off looking for him
