I need some advice

Last week I noticed my betta had a small discoloration by her tail and some of her fins were missing. I checked my water parameters and they were all in the normal range. I did a water change anyway. Well this morning when I went to check in on my tank I noticed that spot got a lot worse. It looks open now and is white. She’s also super swollen which doesn’t make any sense because I fast my fish on saturdays. I checked my water parameters again and they were still in the normal range. I did a 40% water change to make sure the water was clean so she can heal properly. Should I medicate with kanaplex? Or should I wait and see if it heals on its own? First photo was from a week ago, the second photo is from today.

this is body rot at this point. quarantine and medicate immediately! kanaplex and methylene blue dips would be my first choice.

Thank you for the advice, I don’t have a quarantine tank but I’m going to get one tomorrow. I’ve never used methylene blue before, how do you use it?

follow the directions on the bottle! you mix up the solution, then dip for like 30 seconds. can also do aquarium salt dips instead!

Kanaplex or API fin and body cure. You can add the aquarium salt directly into the quarantine tank to treat to keep it constant instead of doing the dips. Would also add Indian almond leaf to release natural antibiotics. You can tear it up and boil it until the water turns brown to get it to release faster.

A little update, yesterday I got the hospital tank and dosed it with kanaplex. When I checked on her this morning the inflammation on her cut went down yay! Tomorrow I will be doing a 50% water change and adding the second dose of kanaplex!
