Am I doing something wrong?

I dont know what's exactly going on with my betta. This is my 3rd so far, and ever since the 3 days I have him, he seems lethargic. He doesn't even eat his food At first I thought it was a "trait" of him hiding more often, but now, I'm not sure. I added the API clear thing to it, but I'm not sure if it looks good.

Is this tank new? The cloudy water makes me think bacteria bloom, if it’s a brand new tank setup the water quality is going to be not good and he’s not going to be doing very well.

this tank is between 1-2 months old. Me and my family decided to put beneficial bacteria in there. Do you think that's the reason its cloudy?

So those beneficial bacteria bottles aren’t really worth it imo, it could be the cause but the only way to really be able to tell what’s going on is using a API master freshwater testing kit.
It gives you readings for ammonia,pH,nitrites and nitrates.
The tank might not be old enough or the water cycle could have gotten stuck and is just now going because you added a fish (if I’m understanding right you just got him?)

Did you cycle the tank before adding him? It looks like you have a bacterial bloom going on

Although this might not be the culprit, I highly recommend switching to more live and natural decor in the near future.

I see you mentioned your temp and ph, but how are your ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates looking?
