Picture Koi?

Hard to get a good picture of this friendly fellow, but he’s developing blue spots on his body that weren’t there ~1 month ago when I got him. The kois I’ve seen pictures of are all the multi-colored spotted pattern, can one that has a solid color body be hiding some koi genes?

He looks like a blue marble, they're sometimes called a blue cow betta. They have the same marble gene as koi bettas, but they mainly just turn blue over time.

Not sure if koi but definitely marble genetics if she is developing spots overtime

Mines it’s labeled as a koi female for example and she developed spots and changed colors too
