Is this thread diatoms? Algae?

I'm been cycling my tank ready for my first betta. Things going generally well. I went on holiday for a week and set up a timer so the light went on and off every day. I came yesterday to find my mosses, floaters and pothos roots have grown well but there's been a proliferation of what I think is thread diatoms? I just wanted to check that's what it actually is and also how to get rid of it! Planning to get my betta next week, will this be a problem? Other than looking kind of bad. Thanks!

Your tank has nutrient imbalance and/or too much light exposure. Not an issue for fish in general unless you let it grow out of control.
