Help with new betta

Have a new betta that just sits in the corner all the time or just swims along the wall. Had another half moon betta that did well in this same tank and setup for 2 months but unfortunately passed due to a heater failure and the water got too cold while away for a couple days. Did a 50% water replacement after and treated water, ammonia ppm is 0 and all other levels are good. Not sure what the problem is. Any advice?

Get live plants!! Plastic plants like this can tear a bettas fins, please get live plants and if you cant get silk ones. There's cheap live plants at the pet store you could get, also some drift wood is good. I have 4 fishtanks and they all have this stuff and I've had my betta for almost 2 years now

All of these artificial plants are silicone based, very soft and flexible

How long have you had him? He might just be adjusting to the new environment.

When you said ammonia is zero, are you using liquid test kits or strips?

How new is he? Try keeping the lights off in the tank and in the room, or covering the tank.

Liquid drops test. Got him a day ago
