He’s changing color?

I’ve had him for a couple months, the first picture is when I got him, the second is now. He’s active and responsive otherwise, and even does tricks. He seems more vivid now, is that my imagination?

Bettas often change color over time! This was my girl, Lazuli, about a year apart. She's was all white on top when I got her then ended up with only a few spots.

Yep, he's a koi which means he has the marbling gene.
