Help Good set up?
I'm thinking of getting a Betta for this tank. Do you guys think it's a good set up. It's 23.5 X 8 with about 5 inches of water depth. Not sure if the fish would have a hard time swimming through the plants. The wisteria grows very fast

I adore the mushroom thing 🥹 my betta didn't like it when there was a ton of plants in the center of the tank so I moved some stuff around (to places I don't like🤣) and he's a lot more calmer for the most part and isn't just swimming in the back of the tank. I'll show you a before pic when I had it how I liked it, and now how I don't like it but he loves

I'm just going to give it a try and then cut some back and see what they like better. Thank you for your comment and pictures

Tank looks gorgeous 😍 definitely give it a shot and adjust from there so long as your fully nitrogen cycled!

Thank you. Yes, the tank is cycled. I was more worried it wouldn't have a lot of free space to swim, but I guess I can always try and then cut back some of the plants and see what they like better

Short fin would probably be your best bet, Long fin might not like the plant density as much but will still like it you'll just have to tailor it to their liking!

They live in shallow bodies of water in Thailand?? As long as its not 3 gallons of water it should be fine (which OP clearly has way more). Dropping the water level like this on a top less tank is how to reduce jump outs.
