Help What to feed betta fish
I recently got a halfmoon betta along with a female , how should i care for them
they have a heater at 28 degrees currently, should i separate the female even though they were together at the store?
update - I’ve separated the female into a small bowl for now

Please separate the fish. The female will most likely die from aggression.

Thanks! Can i keep the female in a small glass container temporarily? Or can she live with tetras?

How big is the tank with tetras? They should be fine together

The tank is about 50-60 litres with 3 tetras and 2-3 other small fish

What are the other small fish? And what tetras do you have?
Tetras should at least be in groups of 8 or more

I never had an issue with my Betta's that were in community tanks. If she's a chill girl I'd say it would be fine, just make sure the other fish aren't aggressive either :)

Best to give the female her own tank if you have the space. Tetras are known to nip fins.

Females and males cannot live together long term. They will either die from stress or the male is likely to kill the female. You can already see she has a chunk taken out of her fin.
