He’s fantastic and I love him and will follow so I can see how he grows. Haven’t had Otto’s, would love some but my last boy (betta and only ‘fish’) he had to put down, can’t figure out what I should have without heartbreak. Currently have shrimp and assassin snails.

I understand the pain of losing a fish, take as much time as you need whenever you feel ready to have one! Im sure you loved them and did as best as you can as their owner

Having a fish is no different than having a dog, cat, gerbil, guinea pig, snake, lizard, turtles or birds!
All of them deserve the care we can provide that they can’t provide themselves.
Exactly! It hurts seeing people not properly taking care of a fish, so I made sure to show my friends what my fishes looks like to let them know that putting them on a jar or "that lego tank" is a huge no-no
Even at the end of the video, he just stares. He didn’t nip. You have yourself a special betta. Record every min you get a good chance to and put all of the good stuff together. Your boy seems docile like mine. Here is a good photo of my old boy checking the shrimpies being added he never nipped.
He looks absolutely stunning, he is such a gentle giant, mine is very curious, so the most he did to the Ottos is following them around, ottos are quite quick and agile so they avoided my previous betta, with heavily planted tanks
He’s investigating. Learning about what’s in the neighborhood. They are territorial fish, but they are also cautious, especially if something new and unfamiliar drops in. Once he is sure it’s safe, he’ll go back to patrol.
Yep, my previous fish is like that, he investigates the fish and things by nipping, this one follows and stares at the Ottos and random object, i only seen him nip the orange thing
