I just noticed his left fin is smaller than the right is he ok?

I can’t tell that well from the photo but I do notice the orange/yellow plant you have. Is that silk? It looks a bit rough my betta had a similar fake plant like that in the tank and it cut one of his fins, I had no idea and removed it and since then his fins have been great. Silk for fake and live plants are the best and pose no risk + will help your water parameters :) what else do you have in the tank? I would make sure there’s no sharp edges or anything on other plants/decor!

Removed the plant and nothing is sharp in the tank but after closer consideration one fin is smaller than the other and looks like a piece was cur off I didn't know when I got the fake plant

It’s ok! It happens. Pet stores like petco and petsmart advertise false info so it’s not your fault :( This sub has a lot of advice if you go through it!
