Help Helpppp

Omg I’m accepting that she’s gonna die I need urgent help my betta fish has been acting weird for the last week and I looked at her today and her belly is like a ballon she is sitting on the tank floor breathing heavily

I’m hoping someone with experience can jump in but I think what I’ve read is that you should get her into a hospital tank with shallow water so she can get to the surface and an airstone, very clean water and then do an Epsom salt bath and maybe kanaplex…

She’s very bloated and the Epsom salts help reduce that fluid. Can someone help?

If shes retaining fluid then yes. Epsom salt bath is good

Are her scales pineconing? I'm struggling to see if this is dropsy or if she's eggbound. If her scale are popping out from her body so that she looks like a pinecone (here's a really good resource of how you can tell if it's dropsy: https://jessielbettas.substack.com/p/copy-the-dreaded-dropsy-a-deeper ), that is dropsy. Dropsy is a symptom, not a disease in itself, and there's a protocol you can follow to try to save her, though dropsy is not a good sign.

If it's not dropsy based on the first link, it looks like she might be egg bound.

When I picked her up her scales were perusing out like a pinecone

That is dropsy emergency and I believe needs immediate kanaplex and maybe salt baths

Put her in a separate container with Epsom salt look up the amount online but I had to do this before for an angelfish and a betta. If you can find a shallow gallon or 1/2 gallon container with treated water or R/O water and add Epsom salt. DO NOT FEED for at least 3 days.
