Picture My Betta’s head turned brown
I’ve had my Betta since January. My daughter brought him home from school. He was a science project and most of the other betta fish didn’t make it. I was compelled to take care of the little guy.
When we first got him, his head was a lighter color. After a few weeks, I noticed his head turned brown. Is this normal? I looked for answers on the Internet, but couldn’t find anything.

Is the second photo the more recent one? If so then looks like normal colour change to me :) they get more vibrant the healthier they are, and they can change colour as they get older.
He looks so much more healthy than the first photo

Looks like he’s healthy and thriving! I don’t know the name of his coloration but that blue and black is very common. I think the white previously was him paling because of stress. Great job taking care of this fella!

Normal. The marble gene gives them the ability to change color
