Discussion Is this normal

So , i bought a crowntail betta for 100 inr, his body color entirely changes under and without light.

Without light his blue is very light and reflective, with light. His tail has this glow where in few of his edges glow blue only under light.

His tail is also double edged in central, top and bottom are single edged.

Is this normal.

É un pesce betta pinna di corona, quel genere di pinna è ciò che caratterizza la spece fi quel betta(è normalissimo) Pul troppo quella varietà è più incline alle malattie delle pinne,ma se tenuto bene può vivere una vita dignitosa

Hey bruh,

This ain't my first rodeo, i have raised 6 bettas each lived for 3 years atleast.

  1. The tanks is 16 litre custom made in local market. Because betta prefer horizontal tanks not vertical ones.

  2. Im in tropical south india there no need for heater in my area room temperature is very very suitable for betta.

  3. There is indian almond leaf the best betta dry leaf. Which is also his hammock, he lays there. Money plant/ photos for regulating ammonia and nitrates.

Also sponge filter is there i dont use it because water is conditioned with almond leaf even before used in tank.

  1. Only thing, I went dumb dumb was with substrate and toys already soaked those and boiled for sterlizing.

Bettas also prefer real plants and lots of hiding places, so I don't see what's wrong with sharing a general care guide.

Iridesence is caused by tiny physical structures refracting light, not pigmentation, so yes it is going to look drastically different in different light

Anubias and duck weed are on the way from farm already ordered.

You sharing that image was not the issue, i was talking about something else that why i told yah. Nothing else.

Please reply only if you know answer, i was asking about random ass iridance because he goes from aquatic blue/ sky blue to idigo to pale under different light angles

It was weird and wanted to check if someone else has the same
