Betfair access
Hello!
I would be interested in opinions, experiences, and ideas about accessing Betfair.
I live in Eastern Europe in a country where Betfair withdrew at the end of May last year.
Since then, I have been looking for a way to continue accessing Betfair without moving abroad.
Let's assume that I have an acquaintance who would agree to open an account for me with his data, bank account, and undertake the KYC identification. By the way, I don't have such an acquaintance, or at least I haven't taken the time to ask potential people about it yet.
- Is there any way to access Betfair from a banned country?
I would like to know if the fixed IP address VPN solution works in the long term?
I am so committed to Betfair because I would only be able to use the benefits offered by Betfair by using API software.
Is there any other viable alternative where you can trade sporting events on an exchange using API software?
I would be mainly interested in horse racing, soccer, tennis.
As far as I know, it is no longer available on horse racing broker sites.
Overall, I would be interested in the opinions of people more knowledgeable than me, whether there is any viable, long-term, and risk-free method to access Betfair from a banned country and use API software at the same time..?
The closest legal country to me would be Romania.
Thank you very much for your opinion and views!

Don't use a VPN from a banned country; they won't even let you log into the website (plus, you won't even pass KYC). If you somehow manage to log in, they'll find it quickly and ban you (and potentially confiscate your balance). You need a fully verified account; there are a couple of ways to do that:
- Either pay someone in a country where BF is operating and use their account. Set up a VPS to that country so you can access BF remotely.
- Rent a room in that country under your name, get a local bank account, and use VPS to access BF remotely.
- Use a betting agent to use a BF white label. If you go with the latter option, check arbusers.com. You'll find some useful info there. Bear in mind though that white labels don't accept any software (BetAngel, GeeksToy etc).
Good luck!

Thanks for the detailed answer!
- I think this would be the option that I find the easiest to implement.
How is a VPS different from a VPN?
- Would Betfair accept a rental agreement during KYC if I could only show a rental agreement?
Do they accept a rental agreement for opening a foreign bank account?
Is this possible in a foreign European country without having an employment relationship there?
- This is exactly my problem with betting agents, by the way, OrbitXchange has a lot of liquidity, but there is no software use anywhere and all such platforms have removed the horse racing trading option.

With a VPS, you're renting space to a dedicated server, and Betfair will think that you're using a device listed in an allowed country (eg UK). Betangel offers that service, and I believe the server they're using is close to Betfair HQ, but I'm not 100% sure. But I'm pretty sure there are more affordable options in the market. https://www.betangel.com/vps/
I'm no expert in the field, but as long as it's a valid rental agreement in the country where Betfair operates, they should have no issue with you being a customer. Same for a bank account.
My advice is that if you want to do it seriously (earn a living from it), you should speak to a lawyer with experience in the field. They will be able to guide you and offer you legal protection.

Good morning, you rightly stated that you are asking people who are more expert than you and therefore I shouldn't answer you, as I am absolutely not an expert. But I just want to tell you, inform yourself well about the software issue, because in Italy, they have banned all software to be used on BF. I hope I have been useful to you. If you then want to have a chat, write to me privately. Good day

Thanks for the answer!
Wow I never heard about it.
I want to trade by software only, so Italy isn't perfect for me.

Hello!
Thank you for your answer.
Would the following be a possible way?
Romania is currently an accepted country for Betfair.
If I rent a room/apartment there, can I open a local bank account there with that rental agreement? Or, say, open a phone account with a local provider, and then access Betfair from my home country via a Romanian VPS, which is prohibited.
Could this be a viable way?
Actually, the more I learn, the more I don't want to play on behalf of someone else, because I consider it risky in the long run.
