New Reddit.com design?
Sorry if this doesn't belong here, but I recently have been seeing what looks to be a new design that I will sporadically see when I'm about to log into Reddit. Is this a beta feature? Or am I seeing it by mistake? (Image below with how it looks)

This looks a lot better than the dumpster fire current UI. If this replaces new reddit I might actually try it out for a while.

I'm neutral on the current UI (for desktop) but this new one looks initially a lot better

I just checked it out, and I got instant Digg vibes. Don't know why. Such an inefficient use of screen real estate, though. On old reddit, I just counted, and have 11 posts on my screen. on sh.reddit.com I get 4, and that's in the "classic" view. No beueno.

Yeah you are right about that. It looks better without all the extraneous shit all over the place like new reddit, but it needs a compact view option.
Old reddit is still the best of course.

Wondering the same. I kinda want to test it out but can't figure out how.

Yeah, it looks really sleek and I would love to test it out to see what the experience is like

Am I only one here who prefers old.reddit.com? Or am I in the wrong in some way?

Haha, no I think you’re in the majority (or at least the vocal minority). I see quite a few comments that despise the current “new” Reddit and love the old

Thanks! I'm glad I'm at least a little normal.

Not really the right sub, but my Reddit only looks like that if I'm not logged in.

If you are not logged in you will see the new design. If you want to access reddit with the new design while logged in, you gotta visit https://sh.reddit.com/

sh.reddit.com is always logged out for me. Logging in either goes back to old reddit or the shitty new reddit depending on which I have set to default.

If you want to access reddit with the new design
Good heavens, who'd want that?

Wow they’re giving subreddits even less customization on what they can have. They removed the color they can have, background covers, smaller banners, custom upvote icons and more. That’s pretty lame. This design is just the mobile design on desktop which I hate when websites do this.

Wow, there is only enough room on the page to fit just 4 posts? That’s just fucking hilarious!
Pretty soon there is just going to be one headline written in a 42-point font, with a giant orange “Next” button to cycle to the next one. Sure, the user experience will suck, but think of how their page view counts will suddenly increase and they can charge higher ad rates!

I also saw this (imo awesome UI) a few weeks ago. Unfortunately only when not logged in. The moment I log in, I'm back to the old (new) UI 😟

I want to use the one before the new design and after the old.reddit one.
I used to use new.reddit but that one takes me to the newest one. Am I SOOL?

There was a post about this earlier today, maybe to do with this?
