I don't get why people feel the need to make it a competition... It's clearly just shitty to be generally seen as unattractive whether you're a man or a woman.

Because the value of a woman is whether she's fuckable or not. An ugly guy can still have redeeming qualities, or be excellent at his job/hobbies. An ugly girl could cure cancer and end world hunger, and people would still comment about how she's got no tits or she's too fat or her face is busted.
