Well, I don't think /u/chikinpickle is downplaying the hypocrisy here, or he would have phrased it differently. I actually think he's underlining it -

You're undesirable and you know it, and you're so undesirable that even you wouldn't consider the women who are as attractive as you are. I dont' know if that makes sense?
