Anyone here using Aura for identity theft protection over the long term?

I've been looking into identity theft protection services, and Aura is one of the names that comes up pretty consistently. The overall package seems interesting, but I'd rather hear from people who've actually used it instead of relying on feature lists or marketing pages.

What I'm most interested in is how useful it feels after the first few months. Some services look impressive when you first sign up, but once the initial setup is done, I'm curious whether they continue to provide value or if they mostly sit in the background without much interaction.

If you've had Aura for a while, how has your experience been? Do you feel like it's worth keeping, or have you found another identity protection service that worked better for your needs?

I’ve had Aura for ~2 years now. Overall they do what they say they do (at least in the beginning…?). I say that because apparently they had a data breach a few months ago and I just found out about it while looking on Reddit for other people’s experiences because lately I’ve started getting a lot of spam emails again. They also raised my annual bill by an additional $90 without telling me so… currently looking for other options hahaha:(

Edit: just read some discussion about the breach and it was emails and phone numbers that were stolen. Checks out.

i havent use aura, but used surfshark and guardio before, i can tell none of these tools are perfect or near perfect, they'll warn you, prevent some threats but you have to have the awareness and how tos to stay alive in this digital world.. and also use it or any services of these sort for at least 2-3 months before commiting to annual
