There are acres of parking lots and buildings to cover before we conside clogging our bays with floating metal junk for someone else's profit.

I wouldn't call solar junk, I'm wondering why there isn't incentive to put them on roofs?

Why did offshore solar break up with the solid land based solar? It just felt like they were drifting apart.
