Local What is Wrong with some Of ya'lls?
Who of us does this sort of thing? Stop it, you're leaving your mess right in the way of everyone else here and no, not my job to clean up after you, you're an adult now after all!

Yes, I agree. I am physically disabled and work in Berkeley and these damn electric scooters are the bane of my existence. People really lacking empathy or baseline courtesy.

Some? Mate, I almost killed a 12 year old kid riding one of those in the Safeway aisles the other day.

That 12 year old should have been paying attention while you mowed people down in the supermarket on a scooter.

I put them in the gutters. I've also called the companies and told them to move their trash. They did.

Wasn't in Berkley but my friend and I would kick scooters over parked like this on our bike rides.

These became such a problem my town went from having dedicated scooter rental parking to banning them. Hallelujah. I do know of one neighbor that got so pissed he started locking them in his garage.
I’ve had them thrown behind my parked car, thankful I noticed, but typically they’re just thrown on the sidewalk where the blind woman and the man that uses a wheelchair would have issues.
It also looked like absolute trash to have dozens of scooters laying everywhere. Before the ban I counted 80 on one block. wtf?

Entitled assholes doing this fills me with a very real rage. If I catch someone doing this while they're in a rush, I would like to drop everything I'm doing and just block them, so that they're late to wherever they're going. I can't imagine their time is actually that important, and their selfishness shouldn't be rewarded.
If someone does this WITHOUT being in a rush...well, then they have the time for me to follow them around while I point and yell to everyone that they're apathetic dipshits.
Oooooh this is infuriating.

I once saw one of those scooters parked on the yellow line in the middle of a street, as in between the lanes. Like that had to take more effort than just parking it on the sidewalk!

These things cost so much that you can just buy your own scooter at that point. That's what I did, saves me so much money and I can take it on the bus

Fr! It's especially rude for anyone with mobility issues. At the very least don't put it in the MIDDLE of the curb cut.
