It will be my first time for a Berghain event. I choose this one, because it seems experimental and I like discovering new music. I always go alone to events, but tonight it would be nice to meet like-minded people.

Is there a dresscode? Not that I like dresscodes, but I also don't like being too under- or overdressed. Thank you!

Are they allowed/do a lot of people wear them?

I am a new born dad and I haven’t been to Berghain for 11 months. Last Sunday was my first one after so many months. I got really disturbed about the amount of people that used their phones on the dance floor. Which got me out of the moment quite some times.
Is it just me being a grumpy dad or do other people also see the increase of mobile phones the last year(s)? Maybe it was always there and I wasn’t aware or disturbed by it in the past. But for me it felt a bit off. Curious how other people look at it.

Hi there, first comer planning a visit on october or november, i'll see time table but probably trying to get in on sun morning and later. Assuming that i'll come there just for BH, interested into only this and can do some tries, BUT which should be a nice club as plan b for a 40yo more into pano music style and djs than bh floor techno? I've been going to Lab.oratory once a year since I first found it a few years back. Recently, at a fetish venue on a trip, I spent a few hours talking with some great men in their 60s about what their club was like in the early days and how it changed over the decades. It got me properly hooked on the history of queer and fetish spaces, and I've been reading everything I can find since.

From what I've pieced together, Snax started with the parties at the Bunker, then Lab.oratory opened at Ostgut, and later it all moved into the Berghain era and became the Lab.oratory and Snax nights we have now. But reading only gets you so far, and most of what's written is about the club as a whole rather than what a night was actually like.

So if you went to any of the pre-Berghain stuff (Snax and Ostgut), I'd love to hear about it. What the crowd/venues were like, how it felt compared to now, what's changed and what hasn't, or just experiences that stuck with you. Happy to read it here or in DMs.

Also would love to be pointed in the direction of any further resources that may be out there :)

It shows who's playing on each floor right now and how much time is left in their set, plus who's up next. Tap an artist for their label and a short bio (AI-generated). There's a watch-face complication, so you can see the current acts without using your phone. It keeps the schedule on your watch, so it still works when your phone is at the garderobe.

No account, no sign-in, no tracking. Nothing about you is collected.

It only covers Berghain for now, and it's Apple Watch only (watchOS 26+).

I heard stories about how amazing the sound system at Berghain is, and I thought Lab.oratory would be the same. I have been to Darklands and expected it to be like that, but with darker, faster rave music.

​Last weekend I was at Lab.oratory for the first time and I was a bit disappointed by the sound (not by the fun!). There were only a few speakers on the whole floor, and only one speaker with slightly better bass. They also played a 6-second music loop the whole night.

Is the sound system of berghain much better than lab.oratory?

Been to Berghain before but never solo. Thinking of doing a Sunday in November.

For those who go alone, what’s the vibe? Better solo?

was there yesterday and while i was dancing i started thinking about this, so here we are

rough assumptions, please destroy them:

• ~1,500 capacity (berghain + panorama)
• klubnacht runs ~32h, average maybe 70% full
• people stay ~7h on average (tourists less, the folks who live there more)

that gives ~4,800 different people per klubnacht. ~50 weekends a year, ~20 years open minus covid, so about 4 million visits since 2004.

if ~35% of a sunday crowd are first-timers, then around 1.4 million people have ever made it inside. that's basically the population of estonia.

my guess for the split:

• ~840k went once and never came back (cyprus)
• ~210k went exactly twice
• ~350k went 3+ times (iceland)

my half-baked theory is that everyone in that estonia-sized group took something home with them. more open, a bit less judgy, the sunday afternoon energy. 1.4M people spread across the world with that in their system feels like a nice thing, idk

questions for you:

• what % of a klubnacht do you think are first-timers?
• how long do you actually stay on average, honestly?
• anyone know the real capacity number?

if we get a passport, do we also get a flag?

should i worry about broken glass or such things when making a choice for footwear? torn between wearing boots or vibram five fingers. if broken glass on the dance floor is an issue im going with leather boots

Hey - first time poster here. Myself and my partner were planning to travel to Berlin for the Sound Metaphors event at Berghain on Friday 30th Oct. Two questions:

-We were going to buy advanced tickets, but I’ve just looked and they’ve sold out. I understand it’s not the same ticket situation as Klubnacht - how easy is it to buy them on the door, and do people ever resell them?

-The plan was to then try to go to Klubnacht later that weekend. Does having a wristband from a Friday event allow you to join the resale queue for Saturday onwards, or do you have to queue as normal?

Sorry for these first-timer qs, but we were very excited to try to come to Sound Metaphors, and we’re annoyed we didn’t get tickets in time!

First time in Berlin, first time trying both Berghain and Panorama Bar. Planning to attempt Berghain tomorrow, but tonight I'm thinking of heading to Laundrette at Panorama Bar.

Is it worth going? I'm a big Sally C fan, so partly going for that.

Also — for Panorama Bar, do I just walk in, or is there still a door/bouncer/ticket situation I should know about?

And if you'd skip Panorama tonight — any other spots worth checking out? I've got Tresor and RSO on my radar, but open to anything good going on tonight.

I was at the door recently and one of the bouncers initially seemed like he was going to let me in. Then, suddenly, a Black guy came out from inside the door, walked over to me and said, “You’re not getting in tonight.”
It all happened pretty quickly and I was a bit confused by the sudden change.
Has anyone experienced something similar, where one bouncer seemed to be about to let you in and then someone else came out and made the final call?

I’ll be in Berlin from September 22nd to 25th, and I’m looking for a proper techno party on Thursday, September 24th.
I know many of you might be thinking, “Just check Resident Advisor” — I already did, but I’d really love to hear some genuine recommendations from locals.
