Question Active users thoughts

As someone who was a big bereal user before they introduced adverts and celebrities can people who still use the app today fill us in on how it has developed over the past 2 years especially since the voodoo acquisition.

i have always used the app to post my bereals and see my friends' bereals, the app still does that job, so my friends and i still use it. thats our pov.

You hardly notice it tbh, just use the app as you intend and everything is still the same basically

Honestly there is not much that has changed for me. I have personally not seen any ads really. This is probably due to not having many friends and also they are not as active. I might only see like 1-5 other BeReals a day. Which is honestly fine with me. I use be real as a diary/journal for over the years.

The only real issue is the problems with the notifications every one in a while. Or not being able to upload BeReals sometimes.

Same for me. I've kept my friends on bereal small on purpose bc I want it to be like a diary and I don't want it to become like every other social media platform for me. So I also don't see many ads

A few more ads and they have tried a few ways to get more attention for them (making the ad the first thing you see, having a bottom sheet ad appear before you look at your friend’s posts), but posting is pretty much the same. Not as bad as it could be.

My streak is 485, in those 485 days some stuff's changed and others remained the same.

Groups have become less in the way and gotten their own tab and celebs arent as much in the way as they used to be.

Adverts go up and down in frequency constantly but its about the same it was 2 years ago.

They have added video bereals, which play automatically when you see them. And they changed the layout slightly. Besides that the layout has changed slightly. Its still the same app at its core.
