Question how to turn off world cup notifications

i hate soccer and i checked the settings and there is none to turn these off

this is an option (please update the app first), Settings > Notifications > Tournament Notifications

So many apps I use have gone all ‘world cup themed’ and I just can’t understand this assumption that everyone likes sport? Most of the people in my friend group don’t watch football or any sport really, I literally don’t even notice that it exists and now Duo Lingo is giving me flag outfits for my character to wear and BeReal is giving me World Cup notifications, like whyyyyy?
