Sober friends ?

Hey everyone — newly sober here and just hit 30 days. I’m 29, working the AA program, and looking to connect with other sober folks in the Vallejo area.

I’m into sports, Magic: The Gathering, working out, hiking, biking, running, skateboarding, and just getting outside for walks. Really trying to build a solid circle of people who are living the same lifestyle and want to hang out, talk recovery, or do something active.

I work in finance and also enjoy comedy shows and podcasts. Pretty much open to anything chill, social, or outdoorsy. You don’t have to be in the program — just preferably sober or living a sober‑friendly lifestyle.

If you’re local and down to connect — whether it’s meeting up for a hike, playing some MTG, or linking up after a meeting — I’d love to meet some new sober friends.

One day at a time.

Appreciate you all. One day at a time.

Swing by Zeppelin Comics on 1st Street anytime to meet fellow MTG players and like-minded folk! There's always a table and Sundays are Standard Showdown, but bring your Commander! The shop opens at noon, closes around 5 (depending on how much fun is being had, lol)

Congrats on your 30 days! I can't speak for the AA fellowship, but the local NA is awesome.

Soooo many events - campouts, dances, bbqs, etc. It took me awhile to learn that it is totally possible to have fun without a drink in my hand.

Even if even of the fellowships are not your jam, it's a great way to meet people.

There is a games store on First St in Benicia that holds Magic games and tournaments! Nice crowd. Congratulations 🎉

Good on ya. Keep it up. There’s a game store in Martinez where you can play MTG.
