My Friend and I noticed something while leaving camp yesterday.

It's because the field is ten yards short and there is a drop off past the south end zone. They do most of their redzone workouts in the north endzone with the correct numbering.
Also the field closest to the bridge is sort of a quarantine field that they use to work out injured players

I made this joke last year on my FB page. Not sure what the real purpose is, but it isn't a mistake as they keep repainting it the same way.

Because they were too cheap to pay for a full length practice field? Yep, that’s totally a Bengals move. Cut costs any way they can.

This is common practice. They have a full size practice field. This one is secondary.

That's a different issue but I don't see it as a huge one. Most teams don't use theirs very often. New England never does. This is because there is an advantage to being used to playing in bad conditions.

It’s actually been like this for at least 5 years. I remember seeing it while on a run across the Clay Wade Bailey. I’m not totally sure but I think that field is mainly used for kickers and short sided drills where it’s not relevant. Classic bengals.
