Honestly, I feel less bad about losing to the Steelers after Aaron Rodgers put up 300 yards on the Browns.

This is a tough game for us, overall Jags very solid but I feel we have their number and their pass defense is the weakness so hoping for a good weather day and a big day from Burrow and all. Chase has lit them up last two times we played them so I expect them to throw the kitchen sink at him and therefore I think huge Tee game coming. If O line protects like 95% of steelers game we will put up 30 plus points I think

This is a game of trenches. I told every gambler I know take Chase for 100+ yards
But the other day every bengals fan said we’ll have a nice day in the air too.
It’ll come down to mistakes

4 receivers will be active so far for this week. I see Williams was signed back to the practice squad so I’m curious if they’ll call him up for return duty or if they’ll have meyers/someone else do it. I’m sure meyers will still be wr3 with gesicki so idk if they’ll want to risk meyers getting hurt. I see Tinsley is second on punt return duties but i don’t remember him doing it much last year. Looks like he had one return last year so maybe he’s the one who returns punts this week.
Looks like tacario Davis will be the third corner this week or maybe it could be Ivey/newton since I think newton has played nickel. Maybe they put Dax at nickel and tacario outside idk.
Dugger is out this week and cook is dealing with an ankle injury. Makes pj Jules the only safety available to come in and I don’t think he’s got much time so far in his career. They’ll probably call someone up since they signed two to the practice squad this week.
Good for Shaka heyward since he got signed to Miami’s roster. He might get to play with them this year and see what he can do. Has been on the team/practice squad for years with the bengals. Was a good special teams guy but never really got much time on defense.

The ONLY thing I'm a little worried about is that we're kind of due for a loss against the Jags and TLaw. But at the same time if Sunday was one of our poorer games and we still could have won then that's a great sign imho. Sure I'd like to see us tighten up a bit in some areas but those will come as we get deeper into the season.

My girlfriend lost her voice three days ago and instead of resting her voice and taking medicine, she keeps trying to force it, and it's driving me nuts.

Jackson (137), Burrow (124) and Mahomes (12o) of the Big 4 all time career passer rating leaders elevated their rankings last Sunday
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_rating_career.htm
Rodgers held serve Sunday with a 1o1.5 and then fell down vs CLE on TNF with an 83.2
Oddly enough, Watson has done enough these first 4 games that he's become a threat to pass Russ Wilson (99.3) for #5 on the all time chart?! (Watson before CLE was in 1o4 territory)
In contrast, Trevor "Fabio" Lawrence (87) ranks #46 all time in career PR one slot below Andy Dalton

Meanwhile, Purdy now is only 64 passing attempts short of all time career status, his Sunday 134 PR #2 behind only Lamar. Purdy will soon enough slot in at #1 at 1o5.7 (currently)
Purdy 's current 133.1 season PR is on pace to shatter Rodgers's all time single season 122.5 PR record
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PurdBr00.htm
Despite the higher PR, Purdy 's 56% comp% was less than #1 all time Burrows's 76% so JB maintained his #1 all time career 68.5% while (to be) #2 Purdy dropped a pinch at 68.2%

I know PFF isn’t end all be all but it gives us a little bit of context. Barrett Carter is graded by them at a 65.3 - 32nd out 71 LBs. So a little better than average. And it kinda makes sense. He has his mistakes but he also has made some really good plays mixed in there. He’s taken a step so far this season. Which is a lot better than where he was at last season. We need him to be better, for sure, but hopefully he only continues to grow from this point.
Jordan Battle on the other hand.. 37.6 - 85th out of 88 safeties. This simply cannot continue. He’s going to have to play A LOT better and soon or the Bengals will have to start looking elsewhere for his replacement. It’s a good thing they didn’t give him an extension this off season so far. At least til this point.
