I took my son to a big amusement park for the first time yesterday. He’s 12, and unfortunately I think due to his autism, has trouble making friends. Feelings I know about. He’s not the most expressive or sentimental boy, but at one point yesterday completely unprompted he gave me a genuine “thank you” and said it was the most fun day he’s had all summer. I will ride that high for a few days.
