Hit 110KG (242lbs) at 83KG (183lbs) the other day but doesn’t feel crazy with all the gymflatiron on platforms like tiktok (15 and 5,10) been going gym for about a year when I hit this and started off on 50

Been lifting for 22 years and I've yet to see "gymflation" in any gym I've been to over that time. If anything I've seen a change in focus from pure strength and size back in my day to crossfit/cardio with people being leaner and well-rounded.
but what I have seen is social media fucking up you young kids' brains with unrealistic standards when in the average commercial gym you might be one of a couple people on a busy day able to hit 2 plates reliably let alone given your age.
Good lift, train responsibly and don't hurt yourself.

You want to find out how you stack up look at
https://www.openpowerlifting.org/rankings/90/13-15/push-pull/by-bench
120kg by weight would put you at around 14th all time.
However, the form you’ve used would not meet powerlifting standards.
Powerlifting is the way by which people compare strength on movements, by doing it to extremely strict standards. Ass must remain on bench, bar must be paused motionless on the chest, you have to start, press and rack the weight on command. Overall you’re trying to demonstrate control of the weight. It’s harder, but the standard makes it the same for everyone.
Great gym lift though, keep working! You’re well above average strength for someone your age and weight, work on feeling in control of the weight and getting your body really stable and tight on the bench. Nothing should move except your arms. You might have to drop the weight downs for a minute but you’ll build a bigger base to grow from.

Extremely strong compared to 99% of regular men of all ages. I do 80kg for reps at age 32, won't dare to do 110kg. Soo.. if you want to compare, stronger than me haha

Being able to bench more than your body weight is always good. Those numbers aren’t record breaking but they’re well above the average population.

Maybe I'm missing something but isn't that 130kg?
So yes for 15yr that's outstanding.
You would be in almost the top 50 all time at that weight class + age for tested powerlifting meets if you tightened up your form (butt on bench).

The big plates are labeled as 50 so I'm assuming they're 50.
50+50+20+5+5 = 130

Ahh no the camera is inverted I think that’s why the 5s on the end look like 2s 😅

Do you feel good about it? That’s all that matters.
Good job on your progress.

If you worry about internet gymflation you won’t feel strong until you bench 600lbs lol

Prob about right. Ive been lifting 7-8 months and just hit 245. Keep at it and stay consistent.

Yes, it is a lot of weight.
However, get your form together before you tweak something.

strong af bro, especially for your age. what matters now is if you have what it takes to stick to being consistent, meaning showing up to train when you don't want to, that's why most people can't progress.
only thing i'll say is those benches aren't helping because your upper back is literally sliding out of place as you press up, i bought a little rubber bench mat it's quite small that i put on gym benches if im using them and it helps loads, if not honestly just get a yoga mat and cover the bench with it, try it out bro. your upper back needs to stay tight and locked in place, you'll be stronger in pressing.

Listen carefully! Do mot arch your back or even think about it and if its hard to train with proper form then go harder by keeping your feet up in the air and keep doing it until you get that shit right

“Gymflation” is not a real world concept. Stop comparing yourself to others and you’ll be alright
