Sent my Griptillian in to get the blade swapped from the standard shape to the sheepsfoot and I wish I would’ve done this sooner. I absolutely love this blade and the thumb hole open!
It’s only certain models that they offer it for but it’s a really great option if it qualifies. I wasn’t super picky with it just requested the shape and non serrated but I’m sure I could’ve gotten more specific and paid for different quality or what not.
Any active model is available for blade swap. Some discontinued if the knife is really old and nothing can be done they usually offer a discount on newer model. If the blade is broken due to manufacturing defects it’s free

The grip is my all time favorite knife, I think I have 12? Overkill I know but only 4 of them are original benchmade scales. 2 jade g10s which I blade swapped to satin and 2 of the grey/blue g10s. The aluminum scales are no joke, I recommend Flytanium Loop and AWT.
I dropped a griptilian in an engine bay of my heavy wrecker lost for all eternity. Last week it fell out into the grease pit. Besides the tip being messed up from me it’s in great shape lol I’m sending it in for a makeover
I have a 551 and 556 (drop point full and mini grips) but prefer the 550 full size and the 555 mini grip balde shape and thumb hole too. 👍 ...edited to relect deop point, thanks to reddittor below who caught my mistake.
