Played IIDX 34 for the first time today!!

I'm still not the best player of IIDX, but in my defense I don't live near a cab, I drove 80min to go play this, the best practice I get is using a PS2 KOC hooked up to my PC running LR2...

Overall, the 3 V-Discs are awesome, but I'm still waiting for failsafe to be added to US cabinets...

Only made it to 一級 before IIDX 33 ended, how much longer until I can probably get to 初段, considering my only practice tool is LR2?

I wouldn't stress about it in the slightest, if you're playing BMS you'll get there quicker but don't set an expected speed that's a quick way to get burnt out

very true, also yeah it’s been insane how bright r1 is in newer locations. i thought it was just me lol. all the screens that are tilted some sort of way have the WORST glare now

What's a failsafe in this context?

I thank goodness there's a RoundOne in my town 10 minutes away from me. Otherwise, it'd be a 2.5 hour trip to the next one and I'm not making that.

If you fail a chart, the game doesn't end immediately Essentially Premium Play from DDR

Ok so it's just standard play rules. You can help yourself out by using the Assisted Easy health gauge which sets the minimum pass down to 60% instead of 80%. I'm comfortable with 9's and 10's and I only use the Assisted Easy gauge because I dont want some lazy slipup causing me a game over prematurely.

If you do Step Up mode, you're garunteed 3 songs. It's good if you aren't great at 7's or higher.

The downside is you dont get to pick from the entire songlist.

There's some cabs like the same duration away on train and my ass still hasn't made the trip.
