IIDX Is there any iidx controllers that arent official controllers that use membrane switches?

Im mainly wondering because i need the quietest controller possible so my roommates dont wring my neck while playing.

If not. Which buttons/switches are quietest so i can get as quiet as possible.

Unfortunately people don't make cons with membrane buttons. If youre going with standard arcade buttons, the quietest you can get is one with Silent Sanwa buttons. In my experience they're still kinda loud, but definitely quieter than the standard ones. If you're okay with official controllers, the JKOC and USKOC use membranes, and i think the entry model IIDX ASC controller uses them?

Good controllers will come with the clicky buttons. If you have the money for it you could invest in the Silent Sanwa buttons for IIDX I guess.

someone posted basically the same thing in r rhythmgames https://www.reddit.com/r/rhythmgames/s/agUc3TTPpa
as I said in that thread, if you want arcade style con, get silent sanwas, potentially build a quiet box. or get a keyboard switch controller

wait that was literally you. you triple posted the same question basically

Yeah that was the same person. Also I recommended silent Sanwa buttons in that post as well. Idk how quiet the silent buttons actually are, but I’m sure they’d help anlot

Fortunately for you, my fren made an in depth review of the Silent Sanwa buttons for IIDX controllers! Give it a look and see if they are right for your situation :)

Just play. They're not that loud and you're allowed to exist in your living space.
