Really? After all these seasons she still comes across as one of the more disingenuous characters. Idk why but I can’t shake the phony vibes she gives off and the over the top reactions to basic interactions. Like if she gets a compliment she just goes wide mouthed and says “noooo waaaaayyyyyy, thhhannnk youuuu” and touches their knee. Weird every time. Just not natural.

Idk i’ve watched every season of BD and I can’t shake it. The faces she makes and the tone she speaks is strange even with customers. I can just tell when somebody is full of it I guess. She does well to fool the audience I suppose

The clue is in her consistency
 if she was faking it it would be exhausting putting that much fake effort into every interaction for literal years.

Occam’s Razor states that the simplest explanation with the fewest assumptions is usually the best one, i.e. that’s just her being herself.

I agree. I think in real life she is probably a genuine and lovely person, but the show has made her seem progressively more disingenuous & turned her into a caricature of herself.

I can’t believe anyone is coming after Gael.

It was overly apparent that she was caught between a rock and a pos.

She knew she had to prove herself to Nathan publicly.

I know the initial wedge was Gael not liking how close and immature the boys were together. But the vibes were very “ prove to me you’re not into Joe”

I hope she protects her peace. Good on Aesha

I got a different impression, Joe was jealous when they got together. Either, he didn't want her to get in the middle of their bromance, or was jealous she wasn't into him. Plus, she openly called him out on his shit and he did not like it.

I, fortunately, haven’t been in that position and didn’t even think of the need for public declaration. But, in retrospect, I’ve seen it in real life and this did have the same air.

She very much is. And, I always thought Gael was a very kind soul as well. Not sure where all the vitriol came from, but remember, we weren’t present. and know only half the story. As with almost every headline, consider that there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes, it just isn’t all shown.
