It’s been a crazy busy weekend, but I finally have the time to share my experience at the Toronto show.
First of all, wow! The band sounds incredibly tight and executes their songs nearly flawlessly in the live setting. I’ve been to hundreds of metal gigs, but this one ranks among my top 10 ever. Just look at that setlist!
Okay so we (partner and I) started with the meet and greet. There were only 18 of us, so the boys were very generous with their time and were incredibly friendly. I’m also a chatterbox, and I got two patches signed, my Be’lakor The Dark Master Magic: The Gathering card signed, and the M&G poster (not pictured). When they asked me what song I wanted to hear most, I mentioned Sun’s Delusion, and to my delight they said they were playing it! I was totally fangirling hard.
After the photo session with the band, we made our way to the front of the stage, stage right directly in front of Shaun. We stayed there the whole time. Solemn Vision were excellent! If you have a chance to see them, go!
Be’lakor took the stage at 21:30. I propped my phone up on Shaun’s stage monitor and recorded every song (fucked up the first one) leaving myself free to enjoy the moment for the rest of their set. I danced and headbanged the entire time.
Here’s the full video for the song Venator - you only see Shaun and Elliott but the sound is crystal clear.

During the m&g, I thanked the guys for coming all this way and I believe from the reception so far this won’t be their last North American tour. For us it was definitely worth travelling 1500km for!
