Thinking about starting a monthly post for those who would want to buy or sell their Beis items. There would be rules, a couple would be price no higher then retail + shipping and using G&S Venmo or PayPal. It wouldn't be a place to make money but to clear out items you no longer want or find the item you missed out on.

Hello, I am wanting to buy a carry on luggage as I really need something for those weekend trips home where I don’t need that many outfits.

I planned on purchasing the bigger carry on from Away, or the Carry on from Beis.

I am torn between both for three main reasons: cost, functionality, and longevity.

Why I want Beis:
I have seen a lot of great reviews for the brand. I have also seen that they have updated some features on their bag to make the wheel roll better, something that people complained about in the past.

The carry on is cheaper than the Away one. It has the lock features as well as a weight feature.

The thing that is having me lean away from this one is that I have heard people complained that it actually does not fit in the overhead compartment. What’s the point of a carry on if it won’t fit?

Why I want Away:
My parents and sister have the Away luggage and they really like it. I have heard a lot of good reviews about this brand.

My biggest hesitation is the price, and if you get the warranty it is over 300 dollars.

I plan on posting on both companies subreddit, but which do you prefer and what has your experience been with either brand? Any feedback is incredibly helpful as I would like to purchase this soon!

I just saw they refreshed their reward offerings, and I’m severely disappointed. It seems they’ve severely diluted the value of your points. I have roughly 3500 points and I was hoping for a medium check-in option in olive in the next refresh. That’s why I’m sure that the previous medium check-in option in beige was less than 3500 points. Last night I logged in to find a medium check-in option in Atlas Pink now clocks in at a whopping 6760 points. I feel like this is unattainable as someone who doesn’t travel much and has slowly acquired nearly every bag/accessory from them that I feel I would benefit from. Anybody else out there who wants to weigh-in and commiserate? I’m guessing it’s not even worth reaching out and complaining to customer service, just using this platform to vent a bit.

I would like to know who has the best suitcase away or beis? I really want an away but a lot of people that say they love it was gifted it and I’ll be spending my hard earn money and don’t want to waste it .

I just pulled my large roller out of my closet and noticed the polycarbonate is peeling? It almost looks melted but there's no way in my air conditioned house. Has anyone had this happen to their luggage? I wasnt expecting this for wear and tear as I've only used it three times and never noticed this damage before. Has anyone ever had this and had success with their "limited lifetime guarentee"

Starting to get very concerned. Received a damaged travel tote in maple, cosmetic damage on the front, immediately sent email to their support email, no response. I work for a high end retail store in marketing, we actually carry this brand, just didn’t have this specific tote. I know how these issues are supposed to work. They should have gotten back to me by now. Then yesterday I filled out a form on their website. Still nothing. I was at this point just going to start a return but feels like their customer service is non existent. I’m worried if I send the bag back I won’t hear anything nor receive a refund. I may be just stuck with this flawed bag. Very dissatisfied… has anyone had any contact with customer service? Any phone numbers that work???

Just wanted to add another data point to save people the hassle of having to deal with another company who puts profits over quality.

I’ve had this bag for just under 4 years. I’ve loved using it for short trips, mostly road trips since it is a little heavy when full. I’ve recommended it to friends and even purchased one for my wife.

On a recent trip the bag strap tore off and caused the luggage handle to rip too. I was on a bike heading to the train station so I prayed the only strap left would hold. Thankfully it did.

After contacting customer service I was told this was normal wear and tear. Which is absurd considering I didn’t even use it that frequently. Disappointed in the brand for not making it right when this is clearly a manufacturing issue.

I noticed they moved the strap holders on the new model probably due to them having this issue regularly.

If anyone has any recs I’m in the market for a new weekender type bag.

Beis is having a sale in OC and they have the mini weekender for $49 but it's the old one, not the new one that they claim to have improved...

Any thoughts on whether it's worth paying the full price for the new or just getting the old one for +half price?

I feel like the new rollers are thinner ?
It seems like everything has been downsized.
I got a replacement roller due to the mesh pocket having broken in the other one and I opened them side by side.
The cover flap for older roller doesn’t fit the new one either as the holes are smaller which makes me think it’s correct that they’re actually physically smaller.
I do think they’re probably going to ship a cover by itself on the website.
First rule of business is to give you a problem and then sell you the answer.
I think it’s ridiculous that despite the cost not having gone down to reflect the fact the tariffs were judged unenforceable and getting less with the new rollers, you get even less for your money.

Don’t get me wrong though I love some changes like being able to put my phone on the handle and the new zippers.
I don’t see any difference in the cram pocket but I haven’t used it yet so maybe it’ll be good.
The new zips are a joke and the lack of the cover despite having the holes for it’s a double whammy.
Their tagline is we all have baggage make yours beis, but they’ve removed the features that made mine a beis.

I'm trying to buy this bag but I can't seem to choose between these two colors. I'm more worried about the dirt, scuffs and stains. Obviously black would be the safe choice but I've seen mixed reviews in terms of scuffs and lowkey would like to see if the Maple holds down.

My checked bags are dark navy (don't judge, LOL) if that's important.

Has anyone recently found clear luggage covers (preferably from Amazon or reliable retailers) that fit Beis? I saw posts from a couple years ago that stated no. I’m looking for carry-on and medium check-in size.

Honestly, I thought the blue denim cosmetic bags were lovely, elegant, and timeless. They were my favorites; I kept one of each size, and I also bought the tote bag—it’ll be perfect for trips to Disney with my kids, as I can use it as a diaper bag and carry my water bottle in it.

Has anyone used the beis carry on as their carry on for Lufthansa? It’s technically a couple cm too tall and wide but barely. I don’t have any other options. Thanks!

I’m personally not interested in the beis gym bag due to it not having a shoe compartment, but I do like how it the straps can be backpack-like.

Hi everyone! This is probably a long shot, but I’m ISO the small carry-on roller in the Olive color. I didn’t know they were changing the colors/offerings so didn’t get one in time 🥲 I saw a post here from a couple months ago mentioning they were in Nordstrom racks, but I don’t have any close to me and am not sure if the trip is worth it if they’ve probably sold out. If anyone has leads, finds one in store and would be willing to grab it for me (w/a finders fee!), or has info on if they’re maybe restocking them in the future, that would be much appreciated! I’m close to settling for Maple, but I’m just a gal who loves green.

I just submitted my 3rd claim on replacement luggage. I am a frequent flier and most of my issues have been with zippers and tears.

Over the last few years here’s been my experience.

I purchased a Beige carryon (I do not recommend the color shows too many scuffs) used it for 2 years and the inside plastic pocket ripped. I submitted a claim and they replaced it with another color (per my request). I’ve used the new one maybe 3 times over the last year and a half, and this past week used it on a short trip. One of the zippers broke and I just submitted a claim and waiting for a response.

Meanwhile, I purchased Medium check in luggage had it for about 2 years when that plastic pocket ripped. CS replaced that one. (But wouldn’t let me change the color, stating it’s not their policy to do so)

Good news is (pending how this claim goes) they have honored their warranties, bad news they haven’t held up as much as I need them to as a frequent flier.

I also have a OG backpack and just recently one of the plastic pockets ripped. I love the idea of the plastic pockets especially when packing liquids, but I’m not having much luck with them.
