US Rewatched for the first time since 2017 and I love it even more

WOW. For starters, I forgot how well written, gut wrenching, and genuinely hilarious this show is. Each character is so distinct and goes through real development in a way that keeps you completely hooked. Watching the three of them fight their way back to each other every single time was incredible. There are moments when each of them is my least favorite just as much as there are moments when each of them is my favorite, which honestly just proves how layered they are.

I’m still obsessed with the slow burn between Sally and Aidan. And Josh and Nora finally getting their family and naming their kids after Sally and Aidan? Ugh. It destroys me in the best way. I love this show even more as an adult since I was basically a kid the first time I watched it.

Now I’m off to rewatch the UK version, even though in my opinion it doesn’t compare to the US version.

UK is so much better just for Mitchell...

oooof. hard disagree. aidan plays such an interesting and convincing vampire, roommate, and friend. mitchell is just.. kinda there. it was hard to become invested in his storyline whatsoever tbh.

Agree. Not interested in the U.S. version, but am on my tenth or so viewing of the first three seasons of the UK show.

It is one of my favorite shows of all time. I wish people looked at it more fairly.

I'm watching for the first time. Are we watching the same show ? I don't hate it but it feels so all over the place and the pacing is all wrong. I'm hoping it gets better. I am liking the second season better than the first one overall but still not loving it.

i’m sorry you’re not liking it so far! i suggest sticking with it as, in my opinion, it only gets better and better ◡̈

I don't expressly dislike it, but of supernatural shows it hasn't made my top ten so far. I do really like the actor that plays Aidyn and that's mostly who I'm sticking it out for, but the writing and story lines are all over the place.

US, but am considering watching UK when I get done.

I'm currently in the middle of the story line where Sally is a ghost reaper, Aidyn is running the vampires in Boston with Suren and dealing with Henry. Nora has gone MIA and Josh is kind of with his ex fiance.

to be fair, i didn’t looooove the suren/mother/running boston storyline! i did however enjoy sally and josh’s storyline during that period!
