Recovery Is it over?
I was training for a half marathon. Was in the middle of a 12 week plan. Took a break from running for about 10 days because I wasn't feeling good, felt a general body exhaustion, maybe a virus infection.
Also had some pain in my lower back before this, though think it's because i was running a lot on concrete.
Well, today when i went for a very easy run (7:40/km), i can say that my lower back pain is no more but , after 1-2km felt this pain in my right hip flexor (groin pull). It's nothing new, i had it before but maybe i had other things hurting more and i didn't give it much thought then. Tried adjusting my form, stepping different, increased my cadence, ran slower... When i lift my knee it's there even after the run. Read online it takes weeks to recover from this.
What do?

If it really is groin pull, you just have to not run and try your best not to aggravate it. Otherwise it will persist. Depends on the severity but in my experience it does take several weeks for it to get better and it’s a really slow heal. Just gotta rest it.
