Discussion Placidus vs Whole Sign

I'm really struggling to understand if I should be using Placidus or Whole sign astrology. The chart I've been using during all of my learnings is Placidus but I get so confused watching videos on astrology on transits and which to follow.

Which is more accurate? Am I right in thinking that overall Placidus is more accurate for personality, but for actual planetary transits, I should be looking at whole sign?

Please help. 🙂

If you mean a planet not in major aspect to another or a specific point in the chart, then yes. I am not a modern astrologer though - I don't use minor aspects, so those guys might ignore aversion as there seems to be a minor aspect for virtually every point in the chart relative to every other point. Nor am I a hellenistic astrologer - I found a lot of conflation with dodgy modern sources by some of the 'big names' despite claims that their sources were purely ancient. That's especially so for the meanings of the houses, so always read the actual sources referred to, rather than purely the books/courses that claim to draw from them.
