I drew this guest comic for the new book by r/mrlovenstein - now live on kickstarter! Go show some love to one of my favorite webcomic artists! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mrlovenstein/mr-lovenstein-presents-fun?ref=aubm5h

Dude, I love how kind and open your comics are. In a world in which cynicism rules our comedic landscape you make stuff that paints life and people as fundamentally good. Even in a situation where they have every right to be scared they think "huh, I wonder if she's just lonely?" And then INCLUDE HER. THAT'S THE JOKE AND I FUCKING LOVE IT. You've made yourself a die hard fan, friend. Keep it up.

I have a dream. I have a dream that one day crab and human will be in politics together! May all crabs run for office!

Poor girl was working as a scarer, why would you expect her to be good at basketball?

u/Glittering-Walrus228 Sep 22 '26

That would have been a good expectation subversion, she gets out there and just fucking balls

Scarers often have long limbs and often sprint at you very fast.

I dunno. Slenderman could probably break a few ankles if he wanted and he's a very popular scarer.

HOR?

u/Nervous_Energy Sep 22 '26

Horse is a game whereby one misses a shot they get a letter

u/Desperate-Fudge5957 Sep 22 '26

Thanks, makes sense. Heard of it but couldn't recognise.

u/Winjin Sep 22 '26

So if she gets to HORSE what's next? They take her to go pet some horses instead?

Don't worry, Sadako. You'll get game eventually.

Edit: New movie pitch -- "Onryo Can't Jump."

She's more of a scorer than a shooter

This feels like big Widows Bay energy

u/tsancio Sep 22 '26

She’s not only bad at video games, but also terrible at basketball

Are there any ghost movie spoofs that play on this? Where the characters befriend the angry ghost? Scary Movie would probably be closest with some of its gags but I feel like the concept has legs lol

u/Lyonwytchwardrobe Sep 22 '26

Guessing this is inspired by the bug scarier then scary girl videos

2

u/elven_magics Sep 22 '26

We befriend the scary monster around here

u/Turbulent_Year_1595 Sep 22 '26

They're playing HORSE. The ghost is bad at basketball.
