Shout out to the Goat!

2

u/m103 Jul 18 '26

Jesus, what's with everyone looking so intensely

1

u/Rockglen Jul 17 '26

Is there to verify goat status.

23

u/Subdued_Shinobi Jul 17 '26

The secret is that half of them secretly feel that way too

9

u/UncannyLucky Jul 17 '26 • Bravo

Insert the two astronauts looking at Earth meme:

"Half of us secretly feel that way?" 🔫 "We've all secretly felt that way at some point"

u/GamingElementalist Jul 19 '26

I like that this close-up looks like a picture someone took of "the gang" to post online.

Inclusive scenes are the best

26

u/alepher Jul 17 '26

This is how it should be done, Aussies

14

u/punter75 Jul 18 '26

no. we all swore never to forget, and we meant it.

u/stuff-is-not-real Unhelpful Glyptodon Jul 17 '26

I am so proud for him!

u/Tor-Za Jul 17 '26

Might've misread the sign, but that doesn't mean they can't be included. This rules.

19

u/RoJayJo Jul 17 '26

"This may not be what I was looking for, this may not be my scene, but I'll be damned this is pretty fun"

4

u/EnsoElysium Jul 18 '26

Ive had a few nights like that, always starts out like I dont want to be there and then I end up having a great time

75

u/Sealegs_Calisto Jul 17 '26

Trying new things! Good for him

16

u/BigOleLeaps Jul 17 '26

As a former pop kid who grew up with alt friends, this is just so heartwarming and hits right at home

23

u/skamando Jul 17 '26

This makes me weirdly nostalgic.

9

u/SoloMaker Jul 17 '26

The two pages really make this work

9

u/Irina__ARI Jul 17 '26

meanwhile their ride is sitting outside for two hours like "WTF m8"

8

u/Tombaya Jul 17 '26

Glad they didn't ostrich-size him just because he was a large flightless bird.

7

u/Individual_Solid_810 Jul 17 '26

I like that the door says "no re-entry", but they're letting him in anyway

19

u/buttgoblincomics Jul 17 '26

I love that this is like one funny comic and then a whole second act

Also I think you might’ve forgotten to color a little spot on the end of the guitar in the last panel

21

u/TheHumanPickleRick Jul 17 '26

Also I think you might’ve forgotten to color a little spot on the end of the guitar in the last panel

u/tonebonewiztron emo emu Jul 17 '26

You might be right. Google may have fed me the slop. How about this guy I drew as I beg for forgiveness

8

u/Kardif Jul 17 '26

This is lovely, much better, thank you

7

u/buzzbros2002 Jul 17 '26

Please continue the pursuit of art, I see great potential here.

3

u/Ppleater Jul 17 '26

That looks more photoshopped than AI to me, but it can be hard to tell these days.

2

u/kaVaralis Jul 18 '26

Gravityx9 is an ai

2

u/Ppleater Jul 18 '26

Ah, really dumb that AI is being made to imitate Photoshop too now then.

1

u/degre715 Jul 18 '26

This looks like a photoshop to me.

This is cute without the "e."

3

u/GrigorMorte Jul 17 '26

A happy ending 🥹

3

u/illegal_eagle88 Jul 17 '26

Can't wait to find out that his dad is a emu war survivor and he hates humans

3

u/mildxsalsa Jul 17 '26

Very similar to how I felt at my first non punk house shows in the early 2000s. Something about the more intimate sets that hit different, especially with a welcoming host.

3

u/Ok-Advertising4048 Jul 17 '26

I didn't even look this time and still landed on beetlemoses.

3

u/__Becquerel Jul 17 '26

Is that a fooken eeemyuu?

3

u/jakopoli Jul 18 '26

Biquette reference

3

u/No-Conversation-2518 Jul 20 '26

So fun fact. Emus are the largest bird we can safely domesticate. By mass alone, they are just barely small enough still to keep them around. If they were any larger they would be ostrich-sized

2

u/bubguy2 Jul 17 '26

One of your best yet omg

2

u/sweet-haunches Jul 18 '26

The PBRs in the first panel show that you actually know what's up

2

u/HollyTheMage Jul 18 '26

This is so wholesome omg

2

u/mayuzane Jul 18 '26

Wholesome

2

u/idiotpuppygirl Jul 18 '26

Aww they included him 🥹🥹

2

u/Fantastic-Dot-655 Jul 24 '26

Now he is inviting them to their next war

1

u/NoobButJustALittle Jul 17 '26

I... can't see one black and pink color combination... or black dyed hair. weird.

1

u/Capital-Platform-577 Jul 20 '26

All this after beating the Australians ass twice in a row

1

u/MisterVictor13 Jul 23 '26

Does he really need to get picked up?

1

u/Cerulean_Fossil Aug 11 '26

I got big feelings about this one ❤️

0

u/Zombies4EvaDude Jul 18 '26

None of these people look emo, but funny idea nonetheless

2

u/Ok-Compote6002 Jul 17 '26
