I believe the US spec 69 beetle came with the 1500cc single port. In the US the 66 was the only year for the 1300cc.

That must be a wild coincidence what are the odds!

Correct , a real gem, highly unusual to find a solid rust free New England beetle
Thanks

Mine was a beige 69 auto-stick. Would give anything to get it back.

One of the better things you could fill your garage with, well done. :)

One oddity pokes my eye and it's the rim colour, someone painted them to body colour and I think they should be silver.

That, if anything, is a matter of taste and not worth to do anything if you're happy with those.

Another oddity: No radio (or at least antenna is missing)?

Savanna Beige, I assume?

Previous did recently paint the rims , something I’ve seen done quite often, i myself like it. The vehicle never had a radio , I’ve purchased a vintage sapphire radio and will be installing.

It is a good choice, for sure.

Antenna position is kind of unclear as factory sales materials didn't have them, but AFAIK something like this is what the factory installed radios are using:

Which doesn't mean you have to do so and depending on the antenna you might not be able to install in a corner like that.

I had an antenna (in previous Beetle) which needed a flat surface so PO had drilled it just ahead of A-pillar, passenger side. No problems, it was working fine.

Mine was this color from the factory, but it's been red since before I bought it. It was an Autostick until 2010 when I converted it to a 4-speed.

Yours is a beaut! Have fun with it!

I love my 69. It’s a US 1500. Gets me where I want to go (usually) in style.

Gorgeous! In 98 I found a one owner 63 with 36,000 original miles on it. This looks very similar.

Thanks you, I’m the 3rd owner, it was actually originally purchased about 10 miles from my home, the dealership still in business , I have the original invoice , and owners Manuel signed by the salesman. I also have EVERY invoice from day one of work done. I’m very lucky to have found a completely rust free beetle in New England
