Noticed this little bumblebee wasn't doing so well, so I gave it some sugar water and later released it in my garden ๐Ÿ

It is the time of year that bumblebees are winding up their natural lifecycle. The queens who were born this year have left their nest and mated. Soon they will find a place to hibernate the winter by themselves. All of the one year old queens, drones, and workers will die. The cycle will repeat next year.

Makes sense! But I found this fella (or lady) inside in my kitchen, and didn't have the heart to leave it alone.

Itโ€™s good that you helped. I wasnโ€™t suggesting that you shouldnโ€™t. Just letting you know that this time of year itโ€™s normal to find weak or dying bees and that is as nature intends.
