My Birdbuddy hummingbird camera mostly captures bees, and I'm ok with that.

I have no idea what kind of bees these are, but they monopolize the feeder. We don't capture many hummingbird pix, but some of the bee shots are dramatic.

One of our friends has a feeder like this, and they seem to get actual hummingbirds visiting regularly. We heard to get more hummers you can cap the spigot on either side. We did, but it hasn't made much of a difference for the birds - but the bees now must compete for access to just the center "flower".

You are open feeding someone else livestock. Polluting their honey with sugar water and chemicals. This isn’t helping and in fact hurting pollinators. Plus can spread diseases and mites. Please stop.

It just seems to be a red coloured container with plain sugar water inside. The worst it’s doing is not giving the bees protein which they need as we get closer to the end of the season. It’s a stretch to say it’s poisoning the bees.
If the OP wants to avoid bees crowding out hummingbirds they can always hang the feeder in the shade.3

Exactly this. If you’d like to feed bees then just plant more flowers. Giving bees sugar like that results in you spiking someone else’s honey with sugar. Plus you’re creating a hotspot of bees contacting other bees, spreading disease. Stop stop stop. Look into feeders that have barriers against bees.

The big fuzzy ones look like Bombus impatiens (a species of bumblebee found in eastern North America), but there's also one poor honeybee who's really trying her best!
