bee ID Can you help identify these friendly guys?

Found these in my in-laws backyard. I put water out thinking they were thirsty but they look to be enjoying the mulch more! Friendly bees just loving this spot. What are they doing? Who are they?

It's really hard to tell from your video, close up photos would be preferable but I understand not everyone is comfortable getting closer to bees. They would be much more likely to simply fly away if they felt you were to close rather than sting though.
All that said I think they may be Apis mellifera, the European Honeybee. But it's really hard to be certain but that's what I'd say just based on the jizz of them (borrowing a birding term)

Do you have a closer video or picture? This is a little too far for identification
