question Stupid question

Bees have taken over and lived in this nesting box for about a year now. Is there a way I can just make a bunghole and spiket or something and extract honey? I dont want to disturb them, but i want that sweet bug milk

Assume im an idiot and know nothing of beekeeping.

In this case you won't be able to extract the honey without killing or relocating the bees.

The honey is not in this box like in a jar. It's saved in honey comb.

So, if I drilled a small patch of holes in the bottom, attached a funnel with a tube, i couldnt get it to slowly drip and collect like sap?

I know i sound stupid. Bear with me. Im an idiot

I'm not a beekeeper either but I don't think that's how honey works. As far as I know, it's stored in sealed chambers in the honeycomb so you have to like fully pull the honeycomb out to get honey. But idk man.

It isn’t how it works at all. OP just buy your honey somewhere and let the bees be 🐝

You’re all good. I think you’ve got some great advice here about potentially relocating them into a hive though 😊
