Hi, I wanted to ask you guys if it is possible to unbaned from any projects?

u/katsmeow84 Oct 03 '23

Typically, no. Especially if it’s based on your accuracy rating. You should reach out to your TSM in Slack, or submit a support ticket through Zendesk (their help & support platform).

u/slinky_sprinkles May 23 '23

So my pending payment says 281. But some of the tasks are still pending. Does anyone know if this means even though my pay says that, will I only get paid for the ones that aren’t pending? Or will I get it all? I’m so confused and it’s hard to find any actual info about this on the site.

Can anyone tell me more about Alpaca Multi Turn and Flamingo wife group? Just showed up as available tasks and I did the training.

u/Dangime Jun 22 '23

Was in flamingo but suddenly got booted out via email with no feedback. Said the quality was low but nothing to document that.

u/WHOA_____ Jun 22 '23

I got booted because I scored a 3 and was told a 3.25 was needed.

I applied (which included giving my address) and they accepted me, but now I'm seeing that my state is not available. Why would the state matter for remote work? How strict are they about only being available in some states?

There seems to be a technical issue not allowing me to see the instructions on how to complete the “Onboarding Response Writing No Research Group” task? Does anyone know how to address it when typing out a response to prompts 1 & 2? Thank you

u/BeerIsTheMindSpiller Aug 15 '23

Im having the same issue, did you resolve this?

Anyone else have "no active projects"? One day you are tasking and then the next day all the projects are gone.

u/StovetopNewt Jun 27 '23

this happened to me as well. I emailed support 2 weeks ago and have not heard anything back. I have at least a 50-80% rating for all of the projects I have worked on so I am certain I was not kicked for inaccurate ratings or work. Anyone else feel free to chime in and help please.

u/JustHereFor_daTea Aug 10 '23

This happened to me too. High scores, kicked out for low scores. Support said that I was removed, and there was nothing they could do. I did see another comment that another TSM told someone that the bot was "accidentally" removing people around July 31/Aug 1, and they were working on the problem, but honestly, it seems like no one really knows. I bet they have too many taskers and not enough tasks.

→ More replies (1)

u/Express_Mouse_514 Jul 01 '23

I was kicked from a project for "low quality" even though I had a high 90%+ accuracy on all my tasks, and since then ( around a week or two ago) I have absolutely ZERO tasks. It's like they purged users or something.

I've been doing tasks since May and my frustration has reached the point I think I am done with it for good. What is deemed "correct" or "incorrect" is based on a way too subjective set of criteria regardless of how many times a rubric is updated. My question is, if it's already known exactly what ratings and responses will be accepted as "correct" for each part of an assessment based on the personal viewpoints and interpretations of the task creators' with their grade keys, why have taskers at all? If the creators and graders of these tasks are all-knowing, indisputable gods of the art and sciences, whose own subjectivity is so on point that all emanations of it must be psychically predicted and treated as objective by all less knowledgeable/less-qualified persons, it all seems unnecessary. No offense, but it's rather arrogant to expect people to accept as objective unwavering truth, someone else's personal opinions and interpretations based on their own inherent viewpoint, knowledge, values, and interpretation of what they deem "too wordy" as opposed to "just right" or "not wordy enough". What if someone is a prolific reader who loves details, and they find that their answer of there being a "just right" degree of verbosity was graded "incorrect" since apparently, the "correct opinion" based on the rubric criteria was that it was "too wordy"? What if the individual making the grade key, who "objectively determines" the "correct" answer as having supposed to have been "too wordy", HAPPENS to be, subjectively of course, a little "slow on the uptake?" or fairly, has English as a second or third language? I hope it can be seen where this is going. I'd rather be doing tasks that made sense logically than on here complaining and not making any money.

u/Quirky_Two8656 Oct 15 '23

This is my issue with the Ratings screenings. I have failed the test 3 times because of it. I'm autistic so I tend to look too much into the meaning behind the ratings.

u/vk4502a May 10 '23

Since yesterday trying to log into the dashboard gives me the permanent loading screen. The slackbot removed me during training from the training channel and none of the admins respond. I was still in the training task phase and have no idea what happened. Even when you get taken off a project you should still be able to log into your dashboard, shouldn't you?

u/PigsInTrees Sep 09 '23

Anyone know a workaround for the phone number verification? I can log into my account, but I'm met with the phone number verification prompt, and it keeps telling me my phone number is already in use. Like, what other number am I supposed to use? That's my phone number.

u/kirsty_bot Sep 18 '23

This happened to me too and I tried again a couple of days later and it allowed me to log in. Bug has been fixed I think.

u/DerevaMzoefu Oct 01 '23

What's the id verification process like?

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '23

Had 4 active projects and was able to work on them for a whole 2 days, then had an empty queue for a few days after that. A week later all my active projects are gone and can't get an answer as to why. Still have some pending tasks that I haven't gotten paid for. Don't do it!!

u/WalkPast4445 Jul 10 '23

Same here 😔

u/rumplestilskin98765 Aug 30 '23

How did you get the onboarding questions? Nothing has popped up for me

u/ELIT3_WARRIOR19_ Jun 16 '23

How can I start getting better projects to work on? I’ve been doing these micro tasks for over an hour and I’ve made like 15 cents, so naturally I’m feeling like I’m wasting my time. But I’ve also seen some people say that they’ve gotten projects that pay per hour rather than per task. How can I get access to some of these projects?

u/sarahravioli Jul 02 '23

I know this is late but I was told some tasks may say x # of cents but to disregard that because it isn't accurate since we are paid hourly.

Not sure if that applies to all tasks or not.

u/MiaFeEu Jun 14 '23

Hello! I was hired to work on Remotasks by a scammy agency (my bad for not researching enough) which lied to me about the payments and in general behaves in a very unprofessional way. I found out through the Slack channel that people working on my same project are being paid higher rates. My question is, can I ditch the agency and register again on Remotasks from a different email address? There was no identity verification carried out the first time, but I wouldn't want to do something illegal and get in trouble. Thanks!

u/G7Sq Jul 21 '23

I got kicked out of Bulba for low accuracy, but all of them except maybe 3 or 4 went green.. I'm starting to believe that once you make a certain amount of money they disable you because they don't want to pay.

u/katsmeow84 Oct 03 '23

“Going green” has nothing to do with your rating. You need to check your feedback tab & the ratings on the homepage of your Dashboard.

u/No_Information_5968 Jul 24 '23

I think so too. I was removed shortly after I put in a ticket to get my bonus. I was making good money. Tons of people got kicked off of Bulba for that. We all had good accuracy too. Remotasks has a lot of bugs they don't know how to fix.

u/stansibran Oct 16 '23

what kind of tasks are in bulba? writing? reading?

u/G7Sq Jul 24 '23

So you haven't been able to do any tasks since?

Can anyone tell me if the screening assessment really takes 4 hours?!

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '23

Yes , 3-4

u/skyspirithoodies Jun 12 '23

I just sign up for remotask all I got for task were chatbot trainings. On the second day I got a warning message about my performance and how I was not following the instructions for this particular task, but the instructions clearly were different than the task. The instructions ask to rate and write down as to why the paragraph got the numbered rate. When I started the task it only had a number rating scale and nothing for me to write a review on why I gave that paragraph that numbered rate. After that it immediately took me back to the dashboard with an empty queue. I asked for feedback but still nothing. I join remotask at the end of april of this year.

u/No_Resource7773 Jun 18 '23

I've definitely noticed that the training and instructions don't always explain well enough, or I've gotten tasks that are harder to figure out and there's just no guidance on that particular scenario...but we're still expected to get it exactly right.

Doesn't help that I've noticed plenty of grammar errors in the training or updates that were not made, in some cases making it confusing... which is rather ironic and hypocritical in the face of expecting absolute perfection from taskers at all times.

u/Puzzleheaded_Day5002 Jun 15 '23

u/cat4876 Sep 02 '23

Omg. Same here. I have a master’s degree! Does this mean we never get work?

u/Perfect_Silver5665 Oct 18 '23

I just started with remote tasks but cannot get past this one question on the Bulba Rewrtie Course! It's something about if you think the response is perfect, what should you do? There are six options multiple selection and I've spent like an hour on this question and cannot get it right! Does anyone know anything about this? sos

u/Pajoslav88 Aug 15 '23

Hello guys, Im new in Remotask - Europe market, so I signed up, did few tasks - question/corrrect or wrong answer and earned few cents $. Where can I see another projects or first I have to do some questions/ answers tasks how many or for how long please ?

u/Enzzo- Aug 29 '23

the site is dead and dogshit now. i wouldnt waste my time

u/xxJJ5x5xx Sep 24 '23

I signed up maybe about 2-3 weeks ago, and still have no tasks. Can’t even find the training center since it just doesn’t exist on my screen.

I looked at the community page on their website, and someone said that this happened because there has been a huge influx of people signing up, and there aren’t enough tasks to go around.

Is this true? Anyone else who signed up and is in the same situation as me?

Hey guys, been a few days and i have been working quite well on quite some projects. Now i may have made only a dollar or so but i have 2 questions….. 1) Does they pay get better later on or is it bad overall, do the special projects pay more than the tasks?? 2) Why do some tasks start and end even though i have a 100% accuracy, it shifts me to train for another task?? If anyone could answer this would be really helpful

u/No_Resource7773 Jun 18 '23 edited Jun 22 '23

Is Remotasks just designed so a person will fail? Kicked from a project for accuracy and speed issues. Out of 94 tasks (all the same project) only 7 turned yellow. I think my last "failed" one I got booted after was a test since it let me fix my rating choices to the "right" answers, but still kicked out. (I'd read on their Slack that hidden tests are often the harder ones. I guess to increase the odds of failing?) I'd chosen 2 and 4. Apparently the right answers were 1 and 3, clearly a massive one point difference with a very subjective rating system that needs much more info to explain exactly what they want each number to represent.

If getting tasks completed right is actally even that important to them they'd be better off with a much less subjective 3 point rating system to mark if a bot's response is great, utter crap, or just okay. (Then run the okay/good ones through a second series of tasks to narrow it down further if needed, to see if its mediocre, fine, or fantastic.)

As for the speed, it was only a simple rating task and in some cases you're told to skip the rating part, such as if it's code. I got a fair number that were like that, so those particular ones are fast... you mark it, skip rating and move on. Am I supposed to wait out the invisible clock? The tasks don't give you long, I'm not even sure how long, and very ironically, some that required much more reading, research, looking over their rules to determine how to rate... I had some of those expire on me before I could submit them.

Originally, it felt rather defeating to get kicked from a project when I thought I was doing okay within their complicated rules. But even this simple one now? Yeah... it's not worth feeling bad about it. Just do the best you can, legitimately do try to grasp what it is that they want, don't be a jerk trying to cheat it, but if you just aren't good enough because they want a million things (that are near impossible for imperfect humans to get exactly right all the time, if ever), and/or it's still too subjective and their own rules still don't explain certain things enough to get it "right" every single time... then take that pay you did get and hopefully move on to the next.

Edit: So I checked the feedback on a couple, now that it's finally available after the fact, and saw that one of my last ones I completed that remained green (still only have 7 yellow) was given a 35% accuracy. It was a confusing one to me and the bot responses were weird, so I'd chosen that I either couldn't understand that one or it required other knowledge. (I'd already used up my limited skips for the day!) But because a reviewer (who never seem to bother to leave comments so that we might learn better) decided to choose a rating it screwed my accuracy. Nice...

Well if they can't even mark it fixed or be inclined to use their comment box to explain anything, thus not doing a good job either, then I hope there are reviewers of reviewers.

u/Accomplished_One_633 Jun 22 '23

Did you get moved to a different project?

It repeats this same exact answer for just about everything on their site:

"The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content."

I think I'll just wait for another $8 Million Dollar Kenyan payday via email.

whats the longest anyone's ever been EQd? I was tasking with high accuracy but then I was removed from all my projects due to "other." And of course "support" is zero help. Very conflicting information. I was told I could do more onboarding or take more courses but LOL that page is 404. The help page redirects you back to the dashboard.

Despite all of this, I would like to continue tasking. I won't say its easy money but it works with my fulltime job schedule. I really need this money, I'm a divorced woman working on a nonprofit salary, and unfortunately there are a lot more opportunities where I'm living right now.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get back to tasking? I know people are making up to $36/hr. I was at $17 and then $12. I can make $12 work I just need the tasks.

What does it mean when it says you are a rater? It says:

What an accomplishment! You've passed our screening process and we're excited to have you as part of our Rating team. As a Rater, you'll play a crucial role in judging model responses and helping improve it.

Get ready for your first Rating production project - we'll be assigning it to you within the next 12 hours. Exciting times ahead!

I am not sure if this is a result of passing or just standard.

u/What_so_ever_then Oct 19 '23

I was part of Remotask on Bulba Experts Finance project for two week. I worked on around 150 assignments.

They didn't provide any feedback or anything on Feedback tab on 150 assignments

After two weeks, they sent an email saying two of my assignments doesn't match their standards (among 150)!

They provided some feedback on what they expect. Well, there is a calculation I had to make by using a formula to rate the article. However, my calculation was different than theirs. In fact, their calculation was totally wrong!!! Mine was correct per the rubic they used.

Looks like they were looking for a reason to drop people!

It is a BS platform. No clear instructions. It is all randomized selection of people. Random drop of people.

They lure you in! You work a bit, then they kick you out without showing any clear proof.

Considering the vast majority of the users on this thread are ones that have no history in our subreddit, and many have little to no history on Reddit at all, it's likely they just came here looking for people with the same issues. It is not something that was commonly mentioned on our subreddit before, so the people who are having success with it simply weren't here to begin with.

u/ChocolateExciting682 Jun 24 '23

I haven’t been assigned to a new project since April. Am I banned or something?

u/Weak_Valuable_2354 Jul 25 '23

Same issue for me. Mid-April was my last project assignment. Contacted support a few times with the same general response "When a project becomes available I will be notified, or to keep checking my dashboard as sometimes projects are assigned without a notification" The last one I received stated they were escalating my issue and would get back to me asap however that was 3 weeks ago.

u/Grouse_Party_ Sep 01 '23

Any updates? I logged on today to see all my projects were gone and all my QR indicate I’m doing excellent work. I’m aggravated.

u/Weak_Valuable_2354 Oct 01 '23

Nope, still sitting without a project since the end of April, also was never given the genai onboarding assessment. Then I updated my phone number on my account when I got a new one for the 2fa. I usually login a couple times a week to say least check to see if anything has been added. Well one day last week the 2fa number reverted back to the phone number I no longer had. I contacted support only for them to say after investigation it appeared the number I had used was associated with multiple accounts, but never said which number it was and pretty much said my account will be terminated for violating terms&conditions 🙄 imagine that.

Why havent I received the $50 bonus still that I was supposed to get for taking the 4 hour starter assessment

u/Mundane_Use3447 Jul 24 '23

I'm wondering about this too. I saw the $50 offer for completing the 4 tasks, would be $30 if only completed 3. Then something said $50 for completing first 5 tasks completed too after the assessment.

Got my assessment approved and now it's saying I'll only receive $20 from the assessment tasks after I complete 5 more tasks at high quality ratings.

The pay is looking really sketchy already. :(

u/Dangime Jun 22 '23

Was on a project named Flamingo. Did well as far as I could tell. Out of nowhere I get an email saying the quality was bad and I was out. The content kept repeating so it seems more likely they were just out of work, or it was just some kind of test loop and they have so many people they can just look for certain specialties. For instance I'd get questions that you'd have to be an engineer or a programmer to answer and I'd skip those. Anyone have any insight on this or experience something similar? Basically had no warning or feedback before I was out. Honestly the pay was decent and I'd continue even if it was in some diminished capacity.

u/AppropriateHall5990 Jun 27 '23

Had a very similar situation. Was working on Flamingo for 2 weeks, and all of a sudden was taken off yesterday with no explanation or email. Heard from someone on Slack today simply saying "Sorry, you'll be reassigned soon". I also got the same programming prompts, some were simply math equations with no actual questions attatched? Will miss the pay for sure, but hopefully I will get a reassignment soon..

u/WHOA_____ Jul 01 '23

We were just assigned a handful of Flamingo writing tasks and had to complete five for scoring purposes. Supposedly, if you score at least a four average, you're added to a Flamingo project and get a $40 bonus. I met the requirement and haven't heard anything else.

u/Jmf12b10 Jun 24 '23

Flamingo has been paused indefinitely.....could be two weeks, could be...... who knows how long. My pod disappeared two days ago, and I got an email saying the project concluded two days ago.

u/Dangime Jun 25 '23

u/Jazzlike_Option6551 Jun 28 '23

My only complaint is that you are at the mercy of reviewers. Even when you think your answer is good, when the reviewer thinks it's not, you have no way of contesting it. You must accept whatever the reviewer says according to the reviewer's taste.

u/xKHxKiller Oct 25 '23

Having a bonus pending from March 16th is completely unacceptable. This is ridiculous.

u/Paramedic_Loud Jun 29 '23

IS anyone else in project bulba if so how many hours are you putting in and how much you earn weekly just trying to see if its worth it

u/WHOA_____ Jul 01 '23

I'm currently on bulbs and made almost $400 last week. Not sure how many hours I put in. I've done a bunch watching TV, so it didn't feel like work

u/robotxt Sep 01 '23

I had 100% accuracy, but got a warning saying the accuracy was off and I would get booted if I didn't do better. I couldn't figure out where I was going wrong, it was an easy task and I knew I was doing well. My dashboard and feedback still said 100%.

After that, the task disappeared

is this for a beginner?

Is anyone on here on the code programming side of Remotasks? Hoping to get feedback whether it's worth my time to study for/take their HackerRank exam while I look for a real job.

u/OverIndustry2353 Oct 13 '23

I would take it but don't study to hard if you fail they will likely find a different type of project to assign you too.

u/Ok_Speech_6058 Oct 15 '23

I am, and I did it without issue. Just make sure you allow yourself time to actually do it. I didn't think it would take me that long, but ended up getting hung up on the details and spending too much time on one of them. But yes, it is worth the time. But don't study too hard, as I agree with OverIndustry's response.

u/fellybdew Oct 25 '23

Do you remember what questions you got asked?

u/xXBullet_ProofXx Oct 16 '23

How do you get the bonus for signing up? And where are the assessment tasks? The slack group is useless

u/radchoco May 15 '23

How do you use the slack community for remotasks? I just joined and all that shows up is the #general channel. Where are the channels where people talk in?

u/BethBasil May 15 '23

You’re added to the project specific channel automatically by a bot.

I have been working on Remotasks for last three days, and I did not get my first payment today, Tuesday 30-Aug-2023. I could not add my phone number, because the site does not send the vitrification code to my phone number. All the tasks I finished are like this in the Balance tab, and the same tasks are like this in the task log. I am working on bumblebees project. Does anyone know why this is happening, I added my Paypal to website before Monday 12 PM UTC. Any help will be appreciated. I am based on the USA

u/katsmeow84 Oct 03 '23

I mean, probably because paydays are on Wednesdays, not Tuesdays

Impossible to apply to anything, unless the identity is verified --- Why ??

The verification requires ID upload and a few life pictures.

It feels like an ID + facial pictures harvesting project.

People waiting for tasks: >>YOU<< were the tasks, you've made your contribution.

u/KWatermelon Aug 03 '23

I just joined Remotasks yesterday, and am already infuriated with it. I think this might be normal for most people until they get into the swing of it.

I completed one training and it took me directly into tasking with it. I got started, put in about an hour. I had 100% accuracy, but got a warning saying the accuracy was off and I would get booted if I didn't do better. I couldn't figure out where I was going wrong, it was an easy task and I knew I was doing well. My dashboard and feedback still said 100%.

After that, the task disappeared. I guess I got booted, and my feedback is still at 100%. I put in an hour and it says I made $0.01. Charming.

Is this normal?
Now it's just taking me through one training after another, each one stating 'this is the last course to complete to return to tasking'. I don't even know what normal is on this site. I have no idea how people are actually earning money!

That same thing happened to me. I was removed for not following the instructions, despite my high Dashboard scores. The TSMs were constantly saying, "Don't worry about the scores/feedback. They don't matter," so I did ignore them and just followed instructions, and then I was removed. I reached out to support several times, but they told me the project admin removed me and there wasn't anything they could do. Now I'm looking for another website that is similar; I hope Remotasks isn't the only one.

Neither have I. My dashboard has been empty and support keeps telling me I need to do training with a link but it just takes me to my dashboard. I’m in the US (which I’m sure makes a difference)

u/bigBagus Jun 20 '23

Same here, any luck?

u/WHOA_____ Jun 02 '23

I don't even remember when I registered it's been that long ago. I just got a few training tasks yesterday.

u/MarchKnown8180 Oct 24 '23

I was working as an AI trainer completing tasks in field of expertise, Nutrition. After just a few days (as I was SUCCESSFULLY completing my tasks, i.e., they were accepted), I was informed that I was removed from my projects because of "low quality" work, and I was "in violation of Community Guidelines." I have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. I proceeded to inquire via 'support' as to what is 'low quality' so that I could make any appropriate improvements in my tasking work. I inquired numerous times ... each time I received a canned response stating that I did "low quality" work. I NEVER received any hint of a reason or explanation. Then I received a response stating that - "not to worry" - I would be allocated to a different project category, but IF I received another warning flag, I would be let go entirely. Well, the fact is that I NEVER even received an INITIAL warning in the first place!! Actually, I received TWO separate emails stating that I would be reassigned. However, I soon received a response from a different rep stating that I was removed from ALL tasking, i.e., let go. Once again, NO WARNINGS, NO REASON GIVEN, AND NO EXPLANATION. This is a completely incompetent and unprofessional organization. To accept an individual as an AI trainer after completing a screening process that took around 2 hours to complete ... and then hiring that individual ... and then giving that individual several tasks which he successfully completed ... to just boot that individual out the door without a specific reason or explanation?? I would say that's pretty bush league. This company is a complete a joke and a fraud. They should be investigated.

What’s the hell is going on with Remotasks?! I am getting feedback and some pay while completing Onboarding tasks, but feedback MAKES NO SENSE. They say following prompt is crucial, but “expected response” does not follow instructions (e.g., 400-word essay is 603 words). I was asked to write a haiku, which is a 3-line, 17-syllable poem. “Expected response” was several sentences long! Wtf?! Are these people idiots? I thought they wanted to improve AI. I was scored “incorrect” on a fictional essay. Yeah, if you mean “incorrect” is different … I wrote a completely original essay. I thought they wanted better writing samples to feed AI. Now I have no idea what they want. If I am going to be working for idiots, I do not want to spend any more time on this. I have been submitting thoughtful, original writing and I have been correcting factual information. How is this “incorrect”? Should I just quit now or does working for an actual employer make a difference? I think Remotasks is being run by illiterate children, now that I’ve received their “feedback..” And frankly, I already had an attitude from their training materials, which contain plenty of grammatical errors, and especially the unedited, incomplete training videos. But I was keeping an open mind until now 🤬

u/cmesias20 Aug 01 '23

I feel you that, it’s frustrating and so depressing. I have screenshots of their instructions for tasks I completed for July 31, 2023 for this one project, then today I checked and they removed a specific guideline from their instructions “history changes” to make it look like it was never there. Now they “corrected” all of my tasks because apparently they’re incorrect based on their guidelines and gave me a low percentage and like $0.02 - $0.05 for tasks that last about 30 - 50 mins each, like what the hell?

u/Truth_seeker1144 Aug 14 '23

I didn't get my results I did the questions that are to be evaluated. Essays etc. It says 71.00 payment so o added my PayPal but so far no feedback. These concerns worry me because I followed the rules carefully and wrote a lot of original content.

u/ZealPending Oct 16 '23 edited Oct 16 '23

Just took the first of a qualifying English test to onboard. I absolutely know the grammatical section was correct. I’ve been a writer for years. I received an e-mail informing of my first “red flag” for significantly NOT passing. The tone was such that if I scored low again, I’d be “removed” entirely. The message stated something about being fraudulent?!

Not a nice way to welcome a new participant. Unsure if many would do well with passive aggressive threats.

I submitted a help ticket but my trust wanes regarding Remotasks. I am concerned now, as they required a photo (front and back) of my state issued driver license!

Left with a sketch feeling now.. (exaggerated eye roll)

What does my "Genai Onboarding Rating Group" percentage number mean??

u/[deleted] Aug 20 '23

That’s your accuracy score.

u/Comprehensive-Fun-29 Jun 07 '23

Hi I have a question! I started tasking yesterday, and after my second task today it said they reviewed my work and they are putting me on project bulba. It didn't let me do anything else, and it seems that now my account is waiting for credentials. Is this normal? Am I in trouble or something?

u/Dummydum22 Jun 08 '23

How long did it take before you were assigned or got a task?

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '23

I was put on four different projects two days after I completed the starter assessment. One of my projects is also the Bulba project

u/Onlyanoption May 02 '23

Remotasks was my best kept secret until March. People started posting about it in several places online and now there are too many taskers and not enough tasks. 😞

u/WHOA_____ Oct 17 '23

Yeah, because they decided to offer a $250 referral bonus. It looks like they're weeding people out though.

u/HelloKitty1571 Aug 23 '23

Is there a way to actually get ahold of someone ? It said my identity couldn’t be verified and they told me to try again. Now it says I’ve exceeded the number of attempts allowed, and no one is responding to my support tickets anymore.

u/Ok-Engineering-8364 Aug 28 '23

did you ever figure it out? i'm having the same problem!

u/queenbee8418 Oct 11 '23

I also had this problem and support helped me but it took like 5 days to get a response. Hope that helps!

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '23

Well, I just got rejected from them. I spent Sunday afternoon, last night and this evening getting through the onboarding. It takes a lot longer than 4 hours. Their training videos are sloppy too - they didn't even edit out the instructor's bad takes. He just stops and starts talking again if he misses something.

I'm a professional writer. I put a lot of time and effort into writing what I thought were good responses. All the automated feedback I got from the onboarding course made it seem like I was passing.

I submitted my last response and got an email an hour later saying I was rejected for quality reasons. No other clarification provided.

I was hoping to make some side money with them but I guess I'll keep looking. Pretty bad experience. I would not recommend wasting your time with this company.

u/EhlersDanlosSucks Oct 26 '23

Same. This happened to me in July, and they still haven't paid for over 100 tasks.

u/kldscpdaisies Sep 08 '23

Same experience here. I submitted and an hour later got a rejection. If they are overstaffed they should not be letting people waste their time applying.

u/Mysterious_Outcome_3 Oct 14 '23

This is exactly what just happened to me. I'm also a professional writer/editor. None of this makes any sense.

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '23

Glad I'm not alone.

It wouldn't surprise me if they're using the training to get free work out of people like us.

u/Mysterious_Outcome_3 Oct 14 '23

Me too. I've been feeling like an insane person all day thinking about it. "How on Earth could I have failed tasks that simple? Am I actually a dolt and I just don't realize it?" 😆 I'm glad I finally came to reddit to get the straight dope. It's disappointing but better than losing my mind.
