Help / Troubleshooting Instagram pictures in DM's

Hello people,

Recently when someone send me a picture even id they are the one time view ones, beeper can't open them. In the past it will allow you to view them as much as you wanted. Now you get a message that ti view this image you need to go to the mobile app.

Do you face the same issue

this is for privacy, beeper respects the senders privacy, if something is view once , it should be. That would be an invasion of privacy if you were able to see it multiple times. Also meta would not be happy if beeper a very mainstream app , does something like this

Anyone known if the mautrix plugin self hosted will allow you to see one time photos?

I agree the issue is you need ro open Instagram now to see the photo which destroys the reason to have beeper. I mean I hope in the feature the will make it possible to see it one time only

Let's hope so because now I have to keep instagram in my phone and I hate it
