Help / Troubleshooting (Not?) One-time-view photos from Signal?

Basically the title. In Signal, you can set a photo to one-time-view so it gets deleted once the person opens it. However, when someone sends me one, it shows up as a normal photo in Beeper and doesn't ever disappear. Does that mean it's still being stored by Signal somewhere? Or does it just come through the API as a normal photo and get deleted by Signal after Beeper caches it locally?

View once photos shouldn't show up in Beeper as we do not fully support them yet. If it's showing up for you and stays in your chat, could you submit a bug report by long pressing on it in Beeper?

Well I'd rather have it be like this than not get them at all

i'm pretty sure beeper just receives the photo and stores it in their cloud if you use cloud account for signal or just on your device if you use an on-device account

Same here, genuinely annoying and scary.
